Standard GB/T31143-2014 "the general requirements of arc fault protection appliances (AFDD)", to build simulation experiment platform series arc fault, the study of the characteristics of arc fault occurs, the current waveform, and USES the db3 wavelet function as the wavelet basis function, the current waveform after the noise wavelet decomposition reconstruction, extracting wavelet high-frequency component, computing wavelet periodic variance value of high frequency component, periodic variance value as main characteristic values for arc fault detection;In order to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the detection algorithm on hardware, the arc fault detection algorithm is transplanted to STM32 platform, and a fault arc detection device based on STM32 is designed, which can realize the functions of current signal acquisition, data processing and series arc fault detection and identification.The experimental results of blocking load, LED lamp, vacuum cleaner and microwave oven show that the device can detect series arc faults with high reliability, and will not cause misjudgment without fault arc.
